Central Receives Best Practices and Interface Awards

In the past year, Central received two awards: one is the prestigious "2006 Best Practices Award of Excellence" and the other is the "2007 Interface Award", presented by Applied Systems, Inc. These awards will be displayed on the new shelving on the east wall/ third floor of Centennial Hall.

The Best Practices Award recognizes those companies that have made imaginative, outstanding, and unique contributions in advocating Best Practices philosophies that enhance the independent agency system. The "Big I" Best Practices program provides performance benchmarks and business strategies that serve as a guide to improving agency performance. Central utilized the Best Practices studies by developing a plan with consultations from Regan Consulting, Inc. This program, called "Developing a Vibrant Personal Lines Practice" is designed to help agents grow their most valuable asset -their agency. Central also conducts Best Practices seminars and gives scholarships to agents to attend this valuable program. This award is a tribute to our continued strong commitment to the independent agency system.

The 2007 Interface Award recognizes Central as being among the best at advancing agency-company interface by creating interface opportunities. One of our key initiatives to improving agency-company interface is the utilization of Real Time. Real Time is the ability to click on a button from a client file in an agency management system or comparative rater for immediate access to carrier information on that client. We offer policy download, billing, policy and claims inquiry for both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines, as well as the rating bridge for Personal Lines through Applied Transformation Station. Real Time can help agencies enhance customer service, quality and efficiency.

Central Recognized by Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce

Central was presented with two awards by the Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce at its Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet Tuesday night. First, we received the Golden Shovel award which is presented to Van Wert area companies which have completed major renovation or building projects in the last year. Second, Central was honored with the coveted Community Cornerstone Award. This award recognizes, on a non-annual basis, Chamber members that have a significant, positive impact on the community in a number of different areas. Edd Buhl accepted the awards on behalf of Central and thanked the employees, agents and policyholders for their support. It is an honor to be recognized by the community for our success.
