Central was honored with the prestigious Pinnacle Award, Applied’s top award recognizing their best customers and business partners for technology innovation and business success. Of the five Pinnacle awards given out in 2016, Central was the only carrier out of several hundred in the industry to receive this recognition. The award was presented at the 2016 Applied User Group National Convention held in Orlando, Florida attended by over 3,000 participants.
Best Practices Award of Excellence
Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big "I")
Central was recognized for the ninth time for our imaginative, outstanding, and unique contributions in advocating Best Practices philosophies that enhance the independent agency system. The Big "I" Best Practices program provides performance benchmarks and business strategies that serve as a guide to improving agency performance. Central utilized the Best Practices studies by developing a plan with consultations from Regan Consulting, Inc. This program, "Developing a Vibrant Personal Lines Practice," is designed to help agents grow their most valuable asset: their agency. Central also conducts Best Practices seminars and gives scholarships to agents to attend this valuable program. These awards are a tribute to our continued strong commitment to the independent agency system.
Ward's Top 50 P&C Performers
Central was recognized by the Ward's Benchmark Group as one of the Top Performing property-casualty insurance companies for 2017. Ward Group conducts an annual analysis of nearly 3,000 P&C insurance companies to identify and recognize the top 50 companies that have excelled at balancing safety, consistency, and performance over the previous five years.

Central took the association's top honor which recognizes the carrier that has embraced interface at all levels of agency interaction and has made interfacing a top priority. The award was presented at Applied Net 2015, a conference co-hosted by the association and its technology partner, Applied Systems.

Central was recognized for displayed leadership in advancing carrier-agency connectivity, demonstrated innovative approaches to IVANS Download or IVANS Real-Time implementation, and driven exemplary initiatives around adoption of download or real-time solutions. Central is one of only six carriers nationwide to be honored with this award.
PIA Insurance Company Satisfaction Survey
Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) of Ohio
Central ranked first among Ohio insurance carriers in the annual survey. For the survey, agents rank carriers in several categories based on their level of satisfaction with the carrier’s performance. With an overall 4.2 mean ranking out of 5.0, Central ranked first for our Billing System, Claims Handling, Company Technology, Marketing Support, and Personal Lines Ease of Doing Business; second for our Commission/Compensation, Company Management, Personal Lines Turnaround, and Personal Lines Underwriting; and among the top ten for Commercial Lines Turnaround, Commercial Lines Ease of Doing Business, and Homeowners Competitiveness.
Super Regional Property/Casualty Insurer
The report from the Insurance Journal ranked Central 27th among 161 property/casualty companies. The companies were ranked by Demotech, an actuarial services firm which analyzed year-end 2016 data to classify and stratify those insurers reporting data to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).
