Actuarial Position - Van Wert, Ohio

Qualifications Include:

• Minimum of 2 years of actuarial experience, preferably including commercial lines pricing experience in property, GL, work comp, and auto. *
• At least 3 Casualty Actuarial Society exams passed and dedication to reaching the Fellowship level. *
• Strong academic and math background. *
• Ability to effectively present information and make recommendations in written and oral formats. *
• Excellent communication skills. *
• Strong teamwork orientation. *
• Proven analytical, quantitative, and leadership abilities. *
• Be a self-starter capable of working with minimum supervision. *
• Good problem solving skills. *
• Evidence of managerial skills with potential to advance to a manager position. *
• Strong PC skills. *

Duties Include:

• Prepare rate level indications for all commercial lines and communicate the results to Home Office and Regional personnel. *
• Prepare analyses of statistical experience for all commercial lines and communicate the results to Home Office and Regional personnel. *
• Work with the Commercial Lines Review Committee, including presenting actuarial pricing information, evaluating rate proposals, and advising on the impacts of actions being proposed. *
• Prepare actuarial portions of commercial lines rate filings, including responding to questions raised by the various insurance departments. *
• Monitor other correspondence of the Actuarial Department to evaluate their impact on the commercial lines pricing work and to verify consistency of related actuarial work products. *
• Assist Home Office Commercial Lines Underwriting with special projects. *

Qualifications Include:

• Must have law degree *
• One to three years experience in insurance claim investigation and litigation preferred, but not required.
• Excellent research, writing and oral communication skills. *

Marketing Manager - East Georgia

Qualifications Include:

• Minimum of 3-5 years Commercial Underwriting experience with a property and casualty company plus some marketing experience and knowledge of the Georgia Territory. *
• Ability to analyze complex information and to put the information into a logical format. *

Programmer (Object Oriented) - Van Wert, Ohio

Qualifications Include:

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in programming or a related field. Experience may be a substitute. At least 2 courses in object oriented programming languages, such as C++, C# or Visual Basic. *
• Knowledge or demonstrated experience with developing applications using HTML, scripting language, or the Microsoft.Net Framework. *
• Demonstrates strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills. *
• Working knowledge of relational database design, development and administration. *
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment. *
• Detail and goal oriented. *

Duties Include:

• Diagnose problems and provide technical support for the development, programming and maintenance of the technical infrastructure required for Internet application development, user security and data conversion. *
• Create, test and maintain web pages and applications on Central's web site. *
• Develop custom programs in C# that interact with Internet connected databases and their interfaces. Code HTML, write JavaScript, implement applications and assist with problem resolution. *
• Implement technologies to interact with Central's mainframe systems and databases, and render information in HTML. *
• Test software for quality assurance. Interpret problems, recommend solutions, and determine if program standards and requirements have been met. *
• Maintain project schedule and periodically report progress. *
• Develop knowledge and demonstrate competence in the use of relational databases, markup languages, scripting languages, object oriented programming, and web authoring and editing tools. *
