Every Central personal auto policy comes equipped with our Roadside Assistance Program, a nationwide network of top-rated automotive and towing service providers. There’s no sign up required – policies with at least $100 in Towing & Labor coverage on a stranded vehicle will receive any of the following services at no charge (policies with less than $100 in Towing & Labor coverage may incur fees).

  • Towing Services to tow your disabled vehicle to the nearest repair facility, or to your chosen facility (extra charges may apply if a different facility is chosen depending on your policy’s Towing & Labor coverage limits).
  • Tire changes at the location of the vehicle.
  • Winching services when stuck in the snow or mud.
  • Fluid delivery of any fluids necessary to allow your vehicle to be driven to the nearest service facility (gas, water, oil, etc.). (1)
  • Jump-start in the event of a dead battery.
  • Lock-out services to unlock the vehicle or provide assistance if the key is lost or broken.(2)
  • Concierge services to help stranded motorists with arranging alternate transportation, airline reservations and ticketing, or hotel reservations.

If your policy has less than $100 Towing & Labor coverage (including no Towing & Labor coverage) on the vehicle, you still have access to the great benefits of this program! Payment will be required at point-of-service to pay the difference between the vehicle’s Towing & Labor coverage limit and the Roadside Assistance service fee ($100).

We recommend that all vehicles with comprehensive coverage have a minimum of $100 in Towing & Labor coverage to avoid incurring any out-of-pocket expense.(3) Central Signature®, Central Mutual Summit®, and Auto Plus coverages automatically include the requisite Towing & Labor coverage for all policy vehicles, even those without comprehensive coverage! The policy coverages described above are in the most general terms and are subject to the actual policy exclusions and conditions. For specific coverage details and policy exclusions, refer to the policy itself or contact a Central Agent.

(1) The cost of fluids is excluded and is the responsibility of the stranded motorist.

(2) The cost of key replacement is excluded.

(3) Disabled vehicles are always towed to the nearest qualified repair facility. For certain makes/models, additional charges may apply.
